The Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) have teamed up with the Ranelagh Gaels this year to bring Peil Óg to the club.
Peil Óg is a special football training programme run by the Dublin LGFA aimed at girls between the ages of 8 -13 of all abilities - even if they have never played football before! The sessions will feature coaching from Dublin 2017 All-Ireland winning team, as well as the Ranelagh Gaels coaching team. This programme is designed to be fun and encourage the participation of young girls in gaelic football.
The sessions take place in Herbert Park from 18:45 – 20:00 and you don’t need to be a member of Ranelagh Gaels to participate. The programme is already into its second week but don’t worry, there are still four weeks to go and plenty of time to join in! The remaining sessions will take place on 31st May, 7th June, 14th June and 21st June.
Why not encourage your friend, sister, daughter or granddaughter to come down, give it a try and enjoy the fun! All they need to is to bring €3 to register on the evening, as well as boots/runners, gum-shield and water! (Gum-shields can be bought in most pharmacies)
This is a great opportunity to pick up new skills, meet new friends and learn from the best! If you have any further queries you can contact Ranelagh Gaels at [email protected].
