Leona Maguire added another LGPA tour win to her achievements after winning the Meijer LPGA Classic at Blythefield Country Club in Michigan yesterday.
She is now the first Irish woman to have won two LGPA tour titles.

Maguire finished two ahead of Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn, and birdied her last three holes to claim a second LPGA Tour title. The victory served as ample recompense for previous near-misses in the tournament, including a second-place finish to Nelly Korda and a playoff loss to Jennifer Kupcho just a year ago.
Maguire’s impressive final round score of 64, totaling an outstanding 21-under-par 267, secured her a two-stroke victory and earned her a well-deserved prize of $375,000.
âI felt like I played some really good golf last year. Missed out in a playoff [in the Meijer], was second at the CME [Tour Championship]. You have to play really good golf to win, itâs tough. Itâs a really nice feeling to get this one and especially heading into the Majors we have coming up,â Maguire said after the tournament.

Maguire will compete at the KPMG Womenâs PGA at Baltusrol, which starts this Wednesday and thereafter head to the US Womenâs Open, the Evian and the AIG Womenâs Open in the coming weeks.
