Kyra Carusa, Irish National Team Striker, has been signed to her hometown team, San Diego Wave FC, yesterday, August 16.
San Diego Wave FC acquired Carusa from the London City Lionesses via a free transfer. The London City Lionesses released on Twitter that the reason for the transfer was undisclosed. The twenty-seven year old will finish up the rest of her season with San Diego.
“We started following Kyra closely this offseason, and we are excited to welcome her to the club,” said San Diego Wave FC Head Coach Casey Stoney.

Carusa's Irish teammate, Niamh Farrelly, announced yesterday, August 16, that she would be joining other fellow Irish teammate, Grace Moloney, at the London City Lionesses. Grace Moloney announced her signing of a two-year-contract with the London City Lionesses on August 15.
Farrelly had played a year for Italian team, Parma Calcio, and was traded to London for free. The 24-year old Dublin native signed a one year contract with the London City Lionesses.

“The Club has been successful over the last couple of seasons and I think that we can push for promotion. After playing in Italy, I think I will be able to fit in quickly under the coaching staff. My first two days with the team have been great, everyone has been really welcoming and I’m looking forward to what’s to come," said Farrelly.
