Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will face each other this Sunday at Wembley Stadium to fight for their first silverware this season. Man United have claimed back-to-back FA Cup finals as they aim to lift the trophy this season after falling short by 1-0 in last year’s final to Chelsea.
Spurs have had an electrifying run in the competition, creating history time after time. They stunned Manchester City in the quarter-finals after beating them 4-3 on penalties, making it to the semi-finals for the first time ever. After being drawn against Leicester City at home, the competition knew it would have a debut finalist.
Leicester City surprised Spurs by going up 1-0 in the opening 15 minutes, and things were looking positive for the away side. However, it was Jesscia Naz’s equaliser in the final 10 minutes that sent the game to extra-time. And in the end, Martha Thomas' 118th-minute winner secured Spurs their acclaimed FA Cup final spot.

United hosted Chelsea in their semi-final and Mark Skinner’s side hoped to beat them for the first time in their club’s entire history. Two impressive goals inside the first 25 minutes were scored from Lucía García and Rachel Williams that sealed Chelsea’s fate as they struggled to bounce back.
There will be a new winner of the competition outside of the Women’s Super League’s top three - Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal - which is the first time since 2012 when Birmingham City claimed victory.
The FA Cup final saw its first-ever sell-out last year against Manchester United and Chelsea, with a record breaking crowd of 77,390 people. The final on Sunday will see a back-to-back sell-out for the competition for the first time - can they set a new record?

Spurs are yet to beat United this season across all competitions. They suffered a 4-0 thrashing at home earlier in the WSL season and were unfortunate to draw 2-2 away from home after Maya Le Tissier’s last minute header prevented her side a loss.
The game will be live this Sunday 12th May on BBC One from 1:50PM for all the build-up action before kicking off at 2:30PM BST.
In a few days, a new winner will be crowned, but who will prevail?
