Chantelle Cameron’s background
Chantelle Cameron was born on May 14th, 1991, making her 32 years old.
She grew up in Northampton, which lies in between Birmingham and London in England, the United Kingdom.
Cameron insists her early love of combat sports arose by her watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and and Jean-Claude van Damme movies such as Kickboxer and Bloodsport.
She participated in kickboxing and Muay Thai growing up, before taking up boxing as an 18 year old.

Who is Chantelle Cameron- what’s her boxing history?
Having only taken up the sport in 2009, by 2010 Cameron had already medalled at the EU Championships in Hungary that year, collecting the silver accolade after defeat to Alanna Murphy in the final.
Interestingly, Cameron did in fact fight Taylor in her early years within the sport too.
At the 2011 EU championships the two came to blows in the semi finals, with the Irishwoman, and the then three-time world champion, arising as the overwhelming winner.
She had two failed attempts at qualifying for the Olympics, in 2012 and 2016.
Taylor’s early successes within professional boxing convinced Cameron to take the same leap of faith out of the amateur ranks, and she did so in 2017.
She began in pro boxing in the super featherweight division under the guidance of Shane McGuigan and promoter Cyclone Promotions, before moving to the lightweight division after a few months.
She went 8-0 with that team, announcing on Twitter in 2019 that she moving away from that setting, and even considering retiring from boxing altogether as a result of the broken down relationship with them and how that made her feel.
Ultimately Cameron decided against that however, linking up with Jamie Moore and MTK global instead.

Who has Chantelle Cameron previously fought?
Cameron spent many years establishing herself within the women’s boxing scene before she was awarded with her original match up versus Taylor back in May.
She remains undefeated throughout her career to this day, despite having faced a whole host of unbelievable fighters so far.
She beat Karina Kopinska, Bojana Libiszewska, Bilitis Gaucher and Edith Ramos at the beginning of her journey to collect the IBO Inter-Continental female super featherweight title, before surpassing Viviane Obenauf to win the the IBO female lightweight title.
Cameron kept hold of that belt when she beat Myriam Dellal in 2018, sweeping aside Natalia Vanesa del Valle Aguirre and Jessica Gonzalez then to retain the BO female lightweight and pick up the vacant WBC silver female lightweight title.
Feriche Mashauri, Vaida Masiokaite, Anisha Basheel, Anahí Ester Sánchez and Adriana Araújo were all next on her list then on her way to the vacant WBC female light welterweight title.
A win then versus Melissa Hernández meant she kept hold of that title, and she also came out on top against Mary McGee, Victoria Bustos and Jessica McCaskill before lining herself up for a shot at Taylor.
