Ireland's Katie Taylor will bid to become a TWO-weight undisputed champio after it was announced she will fight England's Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena in Dublin on May 20th. After years and years of Irish fans wishing to see Katie Taylor fight on home soil as a professional, Irish fans will finally get their wish.

Taylor had originally planned to face Amanda Serrano in a world title rematch at lightweight, but the Puerto Rican fighter was forced to pull out due to injury. Taylor then called out Cameron on Instagram, and the two women are now set to face each other at super-lightweight, four pounds heavier than Katie Taylor's current World Titles.

"It's two undefeated, reigning undisputed world champions going up against each other and I believe that's the first time that's ever happened in the modern era of the sport," Taylor said of the upcoming fight.

Cameron, who has won all 17 of her professional bouts, became the UK's first undisputed female champion after beating Jessica McCaskill in a light-welterweight contest in Abu Dhabi in November.

"It feels surreal that the fight is actually happening," Cameron said. "It feels like my whole professional career has been based around this fight and I never imagined it would actually happen for one reason or another. To successfully defend my belts against Taylor will be the icing on the cake for me."

Taylor, the undisputed lightweight champion, made history with Serrano in the first female contest to top the card at Madison Square Garden in New York last May. Despite Serrano's withdrawal, Taylor remains determined to claim the victory in front of her home crowd.

"People have been talking about this fight for a long time now, so I'm delighted it's happening," Taylor said. "I'm looking forward to becoming a two-weight undisputed champion in Dublin."

The fight promises to be a spectacular event, with both women relishing the opportunity to showcase their skills and claim the title of undisputed champion.
