About Us

Her Sport is a social enterprise using sport as a tool to foster gender equity across all aspects of society.

Our vision is equal opportunity in sport regardless of gender.

We were founded in 2020, right here in Ireland, because we’d had enough. Enough of the lack of visibility for women in sport. Enough of the drop-out rates of girls in sport. Enough of the silence.

Her Sport exists to tackle these clear inequalities in that exist: the fact that girls and women are pushed out of sport not by choice, but by culture, by language, by outdated systems.

  • We shine a light on the stories that too often go untold.
  • We deliver workshops that keep girls in sport and give coaches, teachers and parents the tools to support them.
  • We work with schools, clubs, brands and policymakers to drive real, lasting change.

Sport is so much more than winning and losing on the pitch or in the swimming pool. It’s about what sport gives you off it— confidence, community, leadership, belief. It’s about health, resilience and equal opportunity.

94% of women in executive managerial positions have a background in sport. That’s not a coincidence. That’s the blueprint.

We’re building a platform that gives women in sport the visibility they’ve always deserved. We’re building a movement that proves girls belong. And we’re building it from the ground up —self-funded, Irish-led, and community-backed.

Because girls who play sport, become women who lead.

Visibility

Representation is so important. We create daily content that showcases athletes, coaches and stories you won’t find anywhere else. Unlike other platforms, we turn up for women in sport EVERYDAY because we are unapologetically showcasing that girls and women do belong in sport.

- 60% of our audience believe we have positively impacted their participation in sport through visibility.
- 99% of our audience believe we are positively impacting women's sport.

Education

Our workshops are changing mindsets in schools, clubs and companies across the country. They empower girls to stay in sport and equip the adults around them to create environments where every girl can thrive.

Advocacy

We use our platform to challenge outdated policies and push for real change. From raising issues in the Oireachtas, supporting with the  National Girls and Women Strategy to shining a light on inequality. We’re not here to stay quiet. We’re here to lead.
