Two-time major champion and former world number one Simona Halep has confirmed that she will be reuniting with former coach Darren Cahill after the pair parted ways only just last year.

In November 2018, Cahill announced he would be taking 12-month break from coaching to spend more time with his family.

In their four years previously, the highly-rated Australian coached twice guided Halep to the top of the rankings in the WTA year-end rankings and to a long-awaited grand slam title - she won the French Open in her fourth slam final.

In Halep's time without Cahill as her coach, she won Wimbledon in July. The Romanian is currently ranked No. 6 after a second-round loss to Taylor Townsend at the US Open.
