Leona Maguire has failed to make the cut at a women's major for the first time in four years, in the Chevron Championship in Texas.
The world number 23 missed out on the weekend by two strokes after a four-over second round and level par opening, making six bogeys and two birdies.
It's the first time Maguire hasn't made the cut since 2020, at the AIG Women's Open at Royal Troon.
It was just under two weeks ago that Maguire came second to world number one Nelly Korda in the T-Mobile Match Play, and the American is now chasing her fifth straight win.
Korda is on seven under, one stroke behind Thailand's Atthaya Thitikul and South Korea's Im Jin Hee at the halfway stage.
Korda has a chance at being the first woman since Annika Sorenstam between 2004-5 to win in five consecutive starts. Nancy Lopez in 1978 is the only other LPGA player to achieve the feat.
"Sometimes when you start to make mistakes you just don't really feel confident or you don't feel that great. But I just told myself that it's the first hole of the tournament today," said the 25-year-old.
"Even though I may have made a double, I wanted to save a bogey. There is still so much golf to be played and there is still a good bit of gettable par-5s, that's usually what I think about, just the opportunities that I have ahead."
