Ireland Set To Host Group A For Women’s Softball World Cup

Ireland will be hosting the Women’s Softball World Cup Group A this upcoming July in Balbriggan. This unique event will see six nations competing for the right to advance toward the medal round and final stage in Italy in 2024.

The tournament is set to take place from 11 – 15 July and will see formidable teams, including the reigning world champions, the USA, compete in Group A. Other teams in the group include Great Britain, Australia, Chinese Taipei, and Botswana. Group B and C will simultaneously compete in Spain and Italy.

At present, there are approximately 800 softball players in Ireland playing in about 40 teams. The majority of these teams are located in the Greater Dublin area, with the remaining teams playing in locations such as Belfast, Cork, Galway and Limerick.

This will be the first time that Ireland will host the tournament, which will see some of the world’s best softball athletes play. Food and drinks will be on sale as well as live music at each day of the tournament.

Tickets are available on www.softballwcireland.ie.
