Diane O’Hora Named New Kildare LGFA Manager

Diane O’Hora has been named Kildare LGFA’s new manager.

O’Hora was part of Seán Finnegan’s management team in Kildare this year. Finnegan stepped down last month to join Kevin McStay with the Mayo mens senior football team.

The four-time All-Ireland winner, who captained her native Mayo to their first ever All-Ireland title in 1999, has previous managerial experience in Down, Meath and Roscommon

“Diane’s experience as a player, coach and manager, together with that of her backroom team will bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and energy to Kildare Ladies Football” said the Kildare Ladies County Executive.

Speaking to the Kildare Nationalist, O’Hora said “I am delighted to take on the manager role with Kildare. There is great talent in the county, you only have to look at the success at U-14, U-16 and minor level this year to bear that out and the intermediate team were so close on a number of occasions this year.”

“I have a very strong backroom team, each with their own strengths and characteristics and I am looking forward to working with them, the county board, the clubs and the players in realising the potential within the county,”
