ParkRun: Every Saturday

The ParkRun is a FREE organised 5km fun run or walk which takes place across the globe. It is one of the biggest organised 5km runs and takes place across Ireland now in various locations. This is a wonderful opportunity to get fit, active and healthy by coming along and challenging yourself weekly. The ParkRun is open to people of every age and ability whether you wish to run or walk this, it’s just you against yourself.

Wellfest 2018: 12th & 13th May

Wellfest is Ireland’s largest health, fitness and wellbeing festival. WellFest 2018 will take place on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th of May 2018 at Royal Hospital Kilmainham  (RHK), Dublin City Centre.

Wellfest will feature numerous fitness and health experts from across the globe including Joe Wicks (The Body Coach), Rozanna Purcell, Davina McCall, Doctor’s Kitchen, Rhiannon Lambert, Patrick Beach, Alice Liveing and loads more! The festival is fit for all ages and includes inspirational talks, mindfulness, food demos, yoga, Pilates, spinning and plenty more fun activities!

Darkness into Light: 12th – 13th  May

Darkness into Light will take place for the 10th year in a row across 30 venues in Ireland this year. This even is Pieta House’s largest fund raising appeal and participants can sign up to do the walk or run for €25!

This will be a great way to watch the sunrise and get your exercise in while doing your bit for charity! It is expected that over 12,000 people will take part in the Phoenix Park venue.

SPAR Streets of Dublin 5K: 20th May

Kick start your Sunday morning with this 5km run through the heart of Dublin City! This will begin at the CHQ building and runners will from there weave through the dockland streets, crossing the Liffey at the Samuel Beckett Bridge before finishing at City Quay.  This event is in partnership with Athletics Ireland and Dublin City Council.

Olympian Mick Clohisey will be running on the day and there is prize money of up to €250 for first place!

Dublin 7s: 25th & 26th May

The Dublin 7s is back for the third consecutive year and this is one event you definitely need to get involved in! This is a great day out for all involved and tickets and team registration are on sale now. Watch out for some international players down at the event. There are two events open to women, including the Women Open 7s and the Mixed Tag events. Why not get a team together and try something new?

BORN2RUN Events: 20th & 27th May

Born2Run comes to Dublin for two final races on May 20th and May 27th in Santry and Malahide respectively. The event is famous for the beautiful and scenic routes you must experience! There are two events you can compete in, the 5km race or the 10km race. Both events begin at 11am and are €25 to enter online or €30 on the day.
