With delays, postponements and results with massive implications, this WNL weekend was like no other.
While we will have to wait for another day to see Bohemians and Athlone Town battle it out at the basement, DLR experienced a radical win over Treaty, Peamount picked up three points on the road and Wexford nicked a 1-0 against Shelbourne to slide things in the reigning champions favour at the summit.
DLR Waves 5-2 Treaty United

A defiant DLR Waves attested the UCD Bowl on Saturday as Graham Kelly’s outfit put five past a bedraggled Treaty United.
Although the fixture was deferred to a later time in the day thanks to traffic and travelling concerns for the Limerick side, that didn’t stop both of the teams making hay while the sun was shining.
In a game that looked all but wrapped up at halftime thanks to strikes from Catherine Cronin, Carla McManus and an OG from the Shannonsider’s Jesse Mendez, the third quarter nearly saw the impetus reverse.
Jenna Slattery rammed onto the scoresheet twice in quick succession to ensure she moved to 7 goals so far this season and the team to 3-2 in the match, but a brace from Jetta Berrill quickly restored a dominant victory for the home side.

The Peas fastened their 13th win of the season against Galway this weekend, with the capable Stephanie Roche flying herself into headlines with two superb nets.
A poacher’s goal from the 2013 runner up to the FIFA Pukas Award opened the scoring in the ninth minute, but her second was a thing of beauty to behold.
Volleying the ball over the line on the hour mark, Roche showcased the table toppers top class tenacity throughout proceedings.
Although the Connacht group rose to the occasion and put on a good fight, the end outcome was well and truly decided when Aine O'Gorman slotted away her 11th of the year to make it 3-0.

The gravity of Wexford’s 1-0 defeat of Shels may not be felt until the dying embers of the season but may be a killer blow to The Red’s title hopes.
Seeing as Peamount did in fact collect the spoils in the West this was a must win tie for the Dublin outfit if they were to maintain their tandem in first position.
A grueling but enormously entertaining affair amid the 90 minutes the tight contest only yielded one tally on the scoreboard, coming in the 88th minute.
Solid at the back, Ciamh Gray and her defensive line attained their fifth clean sheet with their bolstered positioning, but it was Lynn Marie Grant who got the all-important goal.
The strike saw Wexford’s seven game winning streak continue, while Shels were left with a bitter taste in their mouth leaving Ferrycarrig Park.
