Ireland Manager Vera Pauw has today revealed she was raped one three separate occasions by men employed within Dutch Football at the time. This included 'a prominent football official' in the Netherlands.
Pauw released a statement on Twitter this evening, explaining her story and the reason she is coming out now. Having reported this to the Dutch FA to no avail, Pauw has since provided details to the Dutch police and with knowledge that this will reach new heights of publicity in the media, she has decided to make the revelation on her own terms. An incredibly brave move, which should be lauded.
What an incredibly brave thing to do. We love you Vera 💚 https://t.co/grUMJaJYJl
