West Ham United have announced the signing of Republic of Ireland international, Megan Walsh. Walsh previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion but has made the move following the expiry of her contract at the end of June.
Walsh has been brought in to offer a strong level of competition to the Hammer's top choice goalkeeper, Australian international Mackenzie Arnold. With over 100 appearances in the Barclays WSL, Walsh in a great addition to the squad.

Walsh originally started her international with England at youth level, however, she changed her allegiance to the Republic of Ireland in November 2021. She was included in Vera Paul's 23-player FIFA Women's World Cup Squad.
“I’m really pleased to be joining West Ham United,” she told West Ham TV. “It’s an amazing Club with a great history.”
“I’m excited for something new and to be working with Rehanne [Skinner] for the first time. I’m looking forward to seeing what she will be able to bring out in my game.
“The WSL is one of the best leagues in the world - it’s tough and it’s getting even more competitive year on year. I have played against West Ham a number of times and were always very physical clashes."

West Ham United are back in action in the WSL on October 1st against Manchester City.
