Irish international Megan Campbell has made the move from Liverpool to Everton in the WSL.
The 30 year old joins fellow Irish players Heather Payne and Courtney Brosnan there, bringing a wealth of experience to her new club.
The Louth native also previously had a spell at Manchester City and can play both left back and centre half, offering increased versatility to manager Brian Sorensen’s squad.
The 47 time capped Irish stalwart is known for her defensive stability, but also her attacking threat, particularly through her signature long throw.
Having missed out on World Cup selection through injury, she’ll be looking to hit the ground running for the Blues, and will be available for selection in their first league game this Sunday versus Brighton & Hove Albion.

Megan Campbell ‘s thoughts on the move
“It's a different challenge for me, coming into the WSL with a new team, and I am looking forward to it,” Campbell told evertonfc.com.
“I'm delighted to be here,” she says.
“Hopefully I can thrive in the blue of Everton and I’m confident it can be a successful season for the team.”
Anticipating that this season “can be another step” in the progress that the team had built last year, Campbell is looking forward to helping the team propel on again.
“I want to come in, enjoy the experience and hopefully help the team where I can” she says.
“I am a senior player. I have played in the WSL and against top internationals, so I want to support my teammates wherever I can and make an impact, too.”

Sorensen too is excited about the venture, particularly as Megan Campbell “ is a player who is rich in experience both domestically and internationally with Ireland.”
“Heading into the new season, we wanted to add some experience to our group and Megan ticks every box in that department” he says.
“We are pleased to have Megan at Everton and I look forward to working with her this season.”
