Republic of Ireland international Izzy Atkinson has completed a move from Shelbourne to Celtic, after a deadline day move.
Still only 19-years-old, Atkinson has been a revelation for Shels who narrowly missed out on the Women’s National League title against Peamount United. The versatile wide player can play both on the wing and at full-back.
Atkinson made her International debut against Portugal in a friendly back in 2017, at the age of 16. She made her official debut against Norway a few months later.

After four years in the red of Shelbourne, the Dubliner will make the move to Celtic to join Irish teammate Keeva Keenan. Celtic play in the Scottish Women's Premier league and just last year made the move to full professional status.
Atkinson join’s Niamh Farrelly who also made the move to Glasgow in January. The 21-year-old defender moved from Peamount United to Glasgow City. Farrelly signed a contract up until the end of 2023 where she joins fellow Irish stars Clare Shine and Tyler Toland at the Scottish champions.
