The second half started with even more intensity from both teams, with many nail-biting moments from both sides. The match ended with no goals on the scoreboard, resulting in one point on the board for Vera Pauw's side.

Meanwhile, Australia obliterated Canada in their final group fixture, winning 4-0.
Australia and Nigeria will now advance to the round of final 16, while Ireland and Canada's World Cup has come to an end.
