In the past, the FAI Women’s Cup had always been played on the same night as the FAI Men’s Cup. In 2015, there was controversy over the shared night when the women’s team went to extra-time and they had penalties, which ran into the men’s game. During the shootout of the women’s game, Cork City F.C. players began to warm up for the Men’s FAI Cup on the same pitch.
From 2020 until now, the FAI Women’s Cup had been moved to be a separate day than the men’s game. The Final Day fixtures were originally scheduled for November 4, 2022, but have recently been rescheduled to November 6, 2022, the same day as the Women's Cup Final, with no explanation as to why.
This is a terrible decision from the FAI. No respect shown for the Women’s FAI Cup Final. https://t.co/hpsn89sFVL

The FAI Women’s Cup is still scheduled for November 6, 2022 at Tallaght Stadium, but fans are questioning the relapse of support from the sponsors. It is very disappointing to see the lack of respect for female sports, especially from such influential organization.
