At the 2022 SSE Airtricity Women's National League Awards, Emily Corbet was named Player of the Year to finish up an impressive season for Athlone Town where they finished second in the league and runners up for EVOKE.ie FAI Women's Cup.
Athlone boss, Tommy Hewitt, was named Manager of the Year when the awards happened at the Gibson Hotel
Three Athlone players were also included in Team of the Year at the awards ceremony. League and Women's Cup winners, Shelbourne, were also represented with three players on the team. Peamount United had two players and Wexford Youth as well as Bohemians had a player each on the team.
Shelbourne ace, Jessie Stapleton, won Young Player of the Year. Tara O'Hanlon of Peamount United won EA Sports Under 19 League Player of the Year and Shelbourne's Hannah Healy won EA Sports Under 17 League Player of the Year.
EVOKE.ie Golden Boot went to the top goalscorer, Peamount United's captain, Aine O'Gorman for the fifth time in her career. Shelbourne goalkeeper, Amanda Budden won the Bank of Ireland Golden Gloves award for most clean sheets.
