The Women’s Rugby Sevens Team booked their ticket to the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament on Sunday.
After four impressive games, it was a 36-0 win over Portugal that sealed the deal for the sevens team.

The team scored 177 points over a two day period and conceded none in that same amount of time.
Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe was a clear star of the competition, ending the tournament with 10 tries and a hat trick during the cup qualifying game against the Portuguese.
Captain Lucy Mulhall also stunned over the weekend with 53 points from 5 tries and 14 conversions.
Last time the team made a world cup appearance was back in 2018 where they placed sixth—three spots ahead of their original ninth seeded ranking.
The tournament is slated to begin 9th September 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa.
