Marks & Spencer has recently announced a partnership with the Munster Rugby Senior Women’s team, as part of its Eat Well campaign.
The partnership was officially launched at Thomond Park Stadium, Limerick by Munster captain Nicole Cronin and teammates Chloe Pearse, Róisín Ormond, Claire Bennett and Stephanie Nunan.
Dave Kavanagh, Munster Rugby Head of Commercial and Marketing, explained that Munster is “delighted to be back in partnership with M&S Ireland, a hugely respected brand and household name.”
“It’s even more exciting to launch this partnership exclusively with our Women’s squad, expanding to the wider community through some great healthy living and eating initiatives.”
According to M&S, Eat Well is a health seal of approval found on thousands of M&S food products, making it easier to identify nutritional produce and make healthy shopping choices. Products with the 'Eat Well flower' meet the evidence-based nutritional criteria, developed by M&S nutritionists in consultation with the British Nutrition Foundation.
Through the Eat Well seal of approval and partnership with the Munster Rugby Senior Women team, M&S hope to drive change to to help families make healthier choices in an easy and fun way.
The partnership will involve a collaborative programme of free educational online resources to support healthy eating and living for people across Ireland. M&S will also provide the Munster players with nutritious produce pre-match and during training throughout the 2023/2024 season.
