Former Ireland rugby captain, Claire Molloy, will be rejoining the Bristol Bears, a team she has already played 9 seasons with between 2010 and 2018. Molloy won the Rugby Writers’ Player of the Year in 2017 while committed to the Bristol Bears.
Head coach Dave Ward said the team jumped at the chance to welcome Molloy back to the Bristol Bears.

Delighted to have signed my first professional contract with @bristolcitywfc, a club with massive ambition. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Molloy isn’t the only Irish sportswomen heading to Bristol. Republic of Ireland international Chloe Mustaki will be joining Molloy in the South West of England after signing her first professional contract with Bristol City Football Club.
After overcoming a serious ACL injury setback, Mustaki made a remarkable return to the pitch amassing 22 appearances for Shelbourne in her first season back and was a key part in Shelbournes 2021 Women’s National League title success. Her performances caught the eye of Vera Pauw and also earned her a regular starting spot in Ireland’s World Cup qualification bid.
