TG4 have added yet another groundbreaking move of women’s sport coverage to their repertoire this week as they announced they will be airing all six matches of the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship via “Rugbai Beo.”
Free to view on the channel as well as BBC iPlayer (for the three Ulster Rugby fixtures), Irish Rugby are making sure to live up to the commitments vowed to in their #NothingLikeIt campaign.

Speaking on the announcement, IRFU Women’s Development Manager Amanda Greensmith said the organisation is “very excited” about the agreement and that it’s “a competition that has been sorely missed from the sporting calendar over the past two years and we’re delighted that Vodafone are on board to help take us to new heights.”
“As we continue to promote our message of #NothingLikeIt, it presents a fresh opportunity to attract women and girls to rugby. We can’t wait to see the women of our four proud provinces return to action.”
TG4’s Head of Sport Rónán Ó Coisdealbha also added his tuppence to the conversation in that he remarked the company were “delighted” to be involved in the movement, as is Neil Brittain the Executive Editor BBC Sport NI who said he is “pleased” with the partnership.
“We look forward to showing the Ulster matches on BBC iPlayer and to telling the story of the players representing their Province across TV, radio and online” he said.
“We are also committed to ensuring that this competition becomes a permanent part of the broadcast schedule going forward.”
