Her Sport and Rowing Ireland, with thanks to the support of the Women in Sport Streaming grant, will be livestreaming the Women's race at Erne 4's Head of the River this Saturday the 19th of November.
The Women in Sport Streaming Grant was announced in June 2022, with Rowing Ireland successful in their application. Visibility is a key area of the Sport Ireland Policy.
The objectives contained in the Policy are:
- Increase the visibility and profile of our female role models in sport.
- Use the heroes of today to inspire the next generation of future Olympians and Paralympians.
World Rowing commentator Niamh Hayes will be providing commentary at the event. Niamh is just back from San Sebastian where she was commentating at the European Coastal Championships.
Her Sport Founder Niamh Tallon (Neptune RC) has been instrumental in supporting the event and will lead interviews with female coaches, rowers and role models to women and girls in sport at the event. Tune in to our YouTube channel over the coming days to see some exclusive interviews with athletes, coaches and more.
The host event, Erne 4s HOR, is run by Enniskillen Royal Boat Club and takes place in central Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh; starting 4 miles downstream and finishing at Enniskillen Royal Boat Club.
