Day 3 (May 27) of the European Rowing Championships wrapped up with Irish female rowers making appearances in two finals: Women's Four and the Lightweight Women's Double.
Eimear Lambe, Tara Hanlon, Fiona Murtagh, and Aifric Keogh finished fifth in the Women's Four A Final, struggling somewhat from the start but squeezing past Spain at the halfway mark. Romania, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Denmark came out ahead.
Aoife Casey and Margaret Cremen also finished in fifth place, in the Lightweight Women's Double Final. They went out the fastest at 50 strokes a minute, but Great Britain, Greece, and France claimed the medals and Poland took fourth place.

Four more finals Sunday will see Irish female rowers compete:
Imogen Magner and Natalie Long race in the Women's Pair Final B at 9:03 AM.
Siobhan McCrohan races in the Lightweight Women's Single Sculls Final A at 10:01 AM.
Katie O'Brien and Steven McGowan compete in the Para PR2 Mixed Double Sculls Final A at 11:20 AM.
Sanita Puspure and Zoe Hyde compete in the Women's Double Sculls Final A at 11:37 AM.
