Day 2 of the European Rowing Championships 2023 is underway. Ireland's women's teams all participated in the repechage races this morning.
Aoife Casey and Margaret Cremen were first to race this morning in the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls Repechage 1. They finished 2nd with a time of 07:01.95 - two seconds behind Greece. They will now advance to the Final A race, which will take place tomorrow.

In the Women's Four, Aifric Keogh, Eimear Lambe, Fiona Murtagh and Tara Hanlon finished 3rd with a time of 06:40.26. They too will race in the Final A tomorrow, along with Denmark, Netherlands and Spain.
Siobhán McCrohan went into the Lightweight Women's Single Sculls repechage as the fastest sculler. She finished in first place with an impressive time of 07:50.34 and has secured a spot in the final on Sunday.

Natalie Long and Imogen Magner missed out on a spot to race in the Final A. They finished 3rd in the Women's Pair Repechage 1 with a time of 07:16.85. They will race in the Final B on Sunday.
Sanita Puspure and Zoe Hyde finished in first place in the Women's Double Sculls Repechage 1 with a time of 06:53.97, narrowly beating France who finished 2nd with a time of 06:54.61. They will row in the Final A on Sunday.
A great performance from Katie O'Brien and Steven McGowan saw them finish fourth with a time of 08:21.90 in the PR2 Mixed Double Repechage. They will row in the finals on Sunday.
