Katie O'Brien and Steven McGowan finished fourth in their PR2 Mixed Double heat, with a time of 8:35.85. As they were in the faster of the two heats - and would have ended second if they had raced in the second heat - they should have a good opportunity to make it to the final out of the repechage. Great Britain (GBR) and Netherlands are straight through to Final A - only four spots in the final are left.
Natalie Long and British newcomer Imogen Magner raced in the Women's Pair where there were 11 entries split into two heats. They raced in Heat 2 and finished fourth with a time of 07:28.02. With only one place straight to the Final A, the crew from Ireland are into tomorrow's repechages.
Sanita Puspure and Zoe Hyde progress with the second fastest time into the repechages after a second place finish in Heat 2 of the Women's Doubles. They ended with a time of 07:04.68, only four seconds behind the Netherlands. Based on the times, they are expected to make it to the final.

Aoife Casey and Margaret Cremen raced in the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls Heat 2. They finished 3rd in their heat with a time of 07:08.45. It will be a challenging repechage, but they do stand a chance to head to the finals.
After a seven year hiatus from international rowing, Siobhán McCrohan has made a comeback and raced in the Lightweight Women's Single Sculls Heat 2. She finished 2nd in her heat with a time of 07:54.39. She will head to the repechage as the fastest sculler.
Aifric Keogh, Eimear Lambe, Fiona Murtagh and Tara Hanlon finished 2nd in the Women's Four Heat 2 with a time of 06:43.36. They're in for a challenging repechage tomorrow. GBR and Romania have secured their spots in the Women's Four final.
