Which Irish Para Athletes Have Qualified For The Paris Paralympic Games 2024?

An Irish team has represented Ireland at the Paralympic Games at every games since the first in 1960.

Qualification for the Paralympics goes through a different process to the Olympics: In Paralympic sport, securing a slot does not mean that the athlete who earned the slot will necessarily go to the games, but it does mean that the country that the athlete represents has secured a slot in the respective Paralympic event.

Athletes are officially selected by their respective sports and then this is sent to the Paralympic Ireland board to be ratified. Once this process is complete, Paralympic Ireland go about naming the athletes that will be going to Paris as part of Team Ireland. Additionally for swimming, athletes that have multiple events (such as Róisín Ní Riain) may not compete in all of these at the Games - this will generally be decided closer to the time. Recently, Paralympic Ireland named it's first few athlete who have been selected to compete at the Paris Paralympic Games.
