Team Ireland is heading to the 2022 Europe Netball U17 Challenge in Gibraltar this weekend, where the Emeralds will face teams from Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
The tournament will be held from Friday Nov. 11th to Sunday Nov. 13th, with games played in round robin format. The Republic of Ireland team's first game is against Gibraltar at noon Friday (11am Irish time). On Saturday they will face Switzerland at 10am (9am Irish time) and the Isle of Man at 7pm (6pm Irish time), and they will close out the tournament playing the UAE at 10am Sunday (9am Irish time).
Cara Conway-Baker, Abbie Murray, Sabastine Pennington and Caitlin Wade will be the defenders for the Emeralds and Daisy Pointon; Lucy Burke, Caitriona McGrath and Isabelle McDonnel-Murphy will be the midcourters; and Alannah Whitelaw, Lily Harte, Ella Honey, and Thea Redmond will be the shooters.
