Who is Dee Begley?

“I remember sitting in with my career guidance counsellor in the Gaeltacht Beál Atha'n Gaorthaidh when I was 15 or 16, and they asked what my dream job would be and I said to be a professional fighter having but that’s not an option, I was down in West Cork, I'd never heard of Glory Kickboxing, the UFC or even MMA at that time, I still can't believe I get to wake up and do what I love doing everyday having realised that dream and to have been presented with this opportunity to fight for one of the biggest MMA promotions in the world is incredible to me.

Leaving my job in finance was a difficult decision but I can honestly say I've never looked back and it has led me down a different career path in Nutrition & Coaching which I am much more passionate about and allows me the flexibility to train full time. I am looking forward to stepping into the cage on June 8th in Newcastle and putting my world class skills on display against some of the best fighters in Europe. I haven't shied away from any challenge so far in my career and I'm more than ready for this one".

Begley’s journey so far has led her to representing Ireland in this highly anticipated PFL Europe Regular season an 8-woman knockout tournament, with a grand prize of $100,000 on the line.

The knockout tournament will kick off with Dee's first electrifying fight being at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on June 8th and will be broadcast live on DAZN.
