The 2024 Her Sport Awards, presented by Lidl, will take place on Saturday, 25th January 2025, at UCD Astra Hall, continuing a proud tradition of celebrating the incredible achievements of Irish sportswomen and the volunteers who make sport possible. Lidl’s three-year commitment as title sponsor underscores their dedication to driving equality and recognition for women in sport.
Recognising over 25 sports in previous years, the Her Sport Awards has become the landmark event for women’s sport in Ireland, celebrating incredible sporting achievements and shining a spotlight on the athletes, teams, volunteers and trailblazers who are pushing boundaries in our proud nation.
“Her Sport and Lidl are two organisations that are synonymous with changing the game for girls and women in sport in Ireland and so, it’s fitting that the two organisations join forces. The last few years have been an incredible journey for Her Sport and our annual celebration of the Her Sport Awards. We couldn’t be more proud to be partnering with Lidl as title sponsor for the next 3 years and to elevate this event even further!” - Niamh Tallon, founder of Her Sport
“Building on our nearly decade long partnership with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, and with an investment of almost €10 million to date, Lidl has continued to lead the way in championing female sport whilst challenging the barriers and tackling attitudes that women face across all sporting disciplines. We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Her Sport – a platform that aligns with our ambition to tackle inequality and provide #SeriousSupport for females, because every athlete deserves our support. Through this partnership, we aim to work together to drive awareness and connect more people to women’s sport whilst educating, empowering and inspiring the next generation of female sporting heroes.” – Eimear O’Sullivan, Lidl Ireland & Northern Ireland Corporate Affairs Director
