The LGFA (Ladies Gaelic Football Association) has unveiled the nominees for the highly anticipated 2023 TG4 Players' Player of the Year Awards, showcasing the best talents in senior, intermediate, and junior grades.

Senior Award Dublin's Leah Caffrey and Jennifer Dunne face off against Kerry's Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh for the senior category. Ní Mhuircheartaigh, a three-time All-Star, finished as the top scorer in the 2023 All-Ireland series. Ní Mhuircheartaigh also received a nomination for the Senior Players’ Player of the Year Award in 2022. Caffrey, a three-time All-Star herself, was an instrumental defender for Dublin, and Dunne, known for her dynamism, contributed significantly with 0-8 during the All-Ireland series.
Intermediate Award In the intermediate category, nominees hail from Kildare, Clare, and Antrim. Róisín Byrne was pivotal in Kildare’s 2023 Lidl National League Division 3 and TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Final victories, earning the Player of the Match Award in both finals. Clare’s Fidelma Marrinan claimed the ZuCar Golden Boot Award for being the top scorer across all three grades in the 2023 TG4 All-Ireland Championships. Antrim’s Orlaith Prenter holds an impressive record of 4-19 and secured the Lidl National League Division 4 title with her team. Byrne and Marrinan's have also earned nominations for TG4 All-Star Awards.
Junior Award In the junior grade, three players from Down, Limerick, and Fermanagh are nominated. Natasha Ferris from Down was the leading scorer in the junior championship with 7-31. Limerick's captain, Róisín Ambrose, is recognized for her consistent performance at midfield. Fermanagh’s Bláithín Bogue was the 2022 Junior Players’ Player of the Year and continued to shine with a scoring record of 2-20 during the All-Ireland series.
