The much-awaited rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, which was set to take place on May 20 in Dublin, has been postponed due to an injury sustained by Serrano.
I know that belt meant a lot to her but that’s why I hated it was booked so close. Rarely pans out

The first fight between the two was considered fight of the year, with Taylor successfully defending her undisputed title against Serrano in a historic occasion for women's boxing.
Today, Matchroom Boxing announced the news in a brief statement, expressing regret that the fight would not go ahead as planned but assuring fans that both parties are working together to find a new date for the rematch.
"Due to an injury sustained by Amanda Serrano, Matchroom Boxing and Most Valuable Promotions regret to announce that the Taylor-Serrano II bout on May 20 in Dublin will not go ahead as planned," Matchroom Boxing announced in a brief statement. "The teams are in discussions about finding a revised date for the bout. Further details will follow in due course."
Gutted Taylor-Serrano 2 is off. Was looking forward to it so very much and was super excited to finally go back to Dublin. Maybe this means Croker is salvageable? Either way, I’m gonna need a minute to process this. What a bummer.

It remains to be seen whether Katie Taylor will find a new opponent for May 20th or commit to fighting Amanda Serrano later in the year. The news does however re-open the opportunity for Katie Taylor to get her dream fight in Croke Park.
