The Tipperary Athletics County Ladies Athletics Team competes for the title of Premier National League County Champions on Sunday, August 13, in Tullamore, at the final of the Track and Field National League.

Many of Tipperary's brightest stars in ladies track and field will be hoping to shine as they compete for their county wearing
the iconic blue and gold colours.

The event will have an extra element of competition with Tipperary's main rivals being the Galway County and Kildare County teams.

Tipperary will have athletes competing in all twenty one athletic events. The scoring system is as follows, nine points for  a win, seven for second and so on down to one.

Team Manager Martin Flynn and assistant Eamon Fitzgerald have assembled a very competitive team that should be vying for top spot come Sunday evening but will have to overcome a huge challenge from Galway and Kildare to secure the title.

Thirteen of Tipperary squad are under 23 and nine are in U/19 junior squad, a very youthful outfit. Eleven of the Tipperary team have been podium finishers at The National Championships in ’23, a multi talented group no doubt. For many this will be their last event of the season before a well earned rest. Best of luck to all.

Here are a few athletes to look out for:

Katie Bergin from Moyne AC will be one to watch in the ladies 100m and 200m. Katie is this year's National U23, Indoor 60m and 200m champion, U/23, 100m outdoor and Senior 200m Champion in a time of 12.09 and
24.40seconds. Bergin also took the silver medal in the 200m National U23 Championships in a time of 24.88.

Clodagh Donohoe from Newport AC will be representing Tipperary in the high Jump. Clodagh is 2023 National U17 Silver medalist for the high jump with a personal best of 1.60 metres and represented Ireland at the SIAB Schools International in Scotland recently.

Kaley Cozens from Templemore AC will be hoping for a big performance representing the county in the hammer throw and shot putt. Kaley cumulated two silver medals this year in the U19 National Championships in both the hammer throw and Javelin.

Jade Barry from Carrick-On-Suir AC will be representing the county in the Javelin. Jade took first place in the event in the previous round and was also a medalist in the National U18 T&F 2023 championships with a throw of 35.25 metres.
