On Saturday Oct. 14 Calli Thackery won the McKirdy Micro Marathon in New York in 2:22.17, the third fastest marathon debut from a European athlete, after Paula Radcliffe and Sifan Hassan.
30-year-old Thackery's Olympic-qualifying time is also the joint second fastest marathon from a British woman, tied with Charlotte Purdue and behind only Radcliffe, who ran 2:15:35 in the 2003 London Marathon.
Americans Savannah Berry and Makenna Myler came in second and third respectively.
Thackery won September's The Big Half half marathon in London, and made the top ten in the same event at the World Road Running Championships in Latvia at the beginning of this month.
