Sophie Ingle breaks record with 184th WSL appearance

Wales midfielder Sophie Ingle made her 184th appearance in the WSL for Chelsea on Saturday, breaking the record she had previously tied with Kerys Harrop, former player for Birmingham City and Tottenham.

32-year-old Ingle has won the WSL title four times and the FA Cup three times, as well as the Women’s League Cup. She was made an OBE earlier this year for services to football.

Ingle set the new record as Chelsea defeated Liverpool 5-1 with the help of a hat-trick from Lauren James.
