Since the last Solheim Cup in 2021, many of the participants have made their mark on the LPGA Tour. Out of the 24 competitors this year, 16 have claimed victories on the LPGA Tour, and nine of them have secured 13 LPGA Tour wins this season. Among these accomplished golfers are major champions such as Lilia Vu (Chevron and AIG Womenโs Open), Celine Boutier (Amundi Evian), and Allisen Corpuz (U.S. Womenโs Open).
Leona Maguire will go into the tournament as one of the highly-ranked competitors. In her first Solheim Cup, the 28-year-old almost singlehandedly powered Europeโs second-ever Solheim Cup win in 2021. Maguire has also been having an impressive season, with her best round this season closing a bogey-free eight-under-par 64 to win this year’s Meijer LPGA Classic in June.
