World Rowing Championships: Day 6 Update

Day 6 of the World Rowing Championships saw more qualifications for Paris 2024 for Team Ireland and a first-place finish.

Alison Bergin and Zoe Hyde have qualified the Women’s Double for Paris 2024. After finishing in second place, just behind the USA, Bergin and Hyde will progress to the A Final on Sunday.

In the Lightweight Women’s Single Sculls final, Siobhán McCrohan earned a gold medal, ending in first place in an impressive time of 08:47.96.

Phil Doyle and Daire Lynch also qualified the Men’s Double for the Olympics and will compete in the A Final on Sunday.

Team Ireland’s rowers who have progressed to the finals will be back in action this weekend. All races are live streamed on the World Rowing website.
