New Almac Belfast City Women’s 10K Event Welcomed 1200 Participants

Belfast City Marathon introduced a new event to the athletics calendar, staging the Almac Belfast City Women’s 10K which took place on Sunday, 18 June 2023.

The Official Charity Partner for the Almac Belfast City Women’s 10k was Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, with the organisers encouraging all participants to fundraise for this very worthwhile charity.

The event saw 1200 ladies take to the Titanic Quarter for the 10K challenge, passing some of Belfast’s most iconic scenery. They walked, jogged and ran together – many taking on their first ever 10K, others chasing PBs and raising funds for charity.

First across the line was Dearbhla Cox of Annadale Striders in 00:37:36. The podium also welcomed Sarah McNutt in second place with a time of 00:38:58 and Catherine Martin in third place at 00:39:11.
