Tennis icon Serena Williams surprised the world at the Met Gala by revealing that she is expecting baby number two.
The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion told reporters at the New York fashion show there were “three of us” on the red carpet when she arrived with her husband Alexis Ohanian.

Her husband was also seen touching her baby bump as they posed for photos.
Williams’ last match was at the U.S. Open on 2 September 2022, and was considered to be her final match in her solo tennis career. ESPN revealed that the tennis icon’s last match was the most-viewed tennis broadcast in ESPN history.
In an interview with Vouge last August, Williams had revealed that she would be moving on from her tennis career: “Iâm here to tell you that Iâm evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me. A few years ago I quietly started Serena Ventures, a venture capital firm. Soon after that, I started a family. I want to grow that family.”
The couple is already parents to 5-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia, who has been wishing to become a “be a big sister” for a while.
