1. It is Part of the Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional women’s golf tour in Europe. It was founded in 1978 and has members in more than 40 countries internationally. Most of the players on tour are from Europe; however, the tournaments are held in five different continents, based in the Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England. The ‘LET’ which is it is sometimes known awards prize money to the athletes competing. At the moment, South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai leads the LET money list with a whopping €1.16 million euro.
2. I’s Being Held In Dromoland Castle In Co. Clare 
This year’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be held at Dromoland Castle from September 22-25. Tickets are on sale NOW and can be bought here for all four days or just day passes. 3. Who’s Going To Be There?
Leona Maguire is undoubtedly the headline for this week’s field. The Solheim Cup star returns home to Irish soil following her most recent successes is her victory at the LPGA Drive On Championship this past Februaryand of course last year’s record-breaking rookie moment for the Europe’s Solheim Cup. In addition to Maguire, there will be some more heavy hitters on display including winner of 2022 Aramco Team Series, Manon De Roey of Belgium, four time LET winner, Linn M Grant of Sweden, and winner of 2022 Jabra Ladies Open, Tiia Koivisto of Finland. Meghan MacLaren, an English golfer, won as a Florida International University Player eight times before graduating. Anne-Charlotte Mora of Spain and Ana Pelaez, the winner of the 2022 Madrid Ladies Open, are also excited to be competing in the rigorous course as well.
4. The Prize Money
This week, over 126 female golfers will be teeing up for a total prize money fund of €400,000! This is amongst the top five events on the Ladies European Tour.
5. The Ladies Irish Open Hasn’t Happened in 10 Years!
After a ten year abscence, the Women’s Irish Open is back in Ireland. The last Women’s Irish Open was held in 2012, with Catriona Matthew winning with a one-shot victory over Suzann Petterson. There’s been 15 Women’s Irish Opens in history, now a whole new wave of golfers are excited to compete with past champions for this title.
