Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe became the first Ireland Sevens player to chalk up 100 tries in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe became the first Ireland Sevens player to chalk up 100 tries in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Murphy Crowe has been a superstar on the Sevens Series for years now and the 26-year-old has an incredible strike-rate of 101 tries in 134 matches.

The Tipperary star is only the ninth female player to achieve this feat in World Series history – she is also only the second European to do so.

Since making her senior debut in Guangzhou in 2014, the Irish speedster has become one of the most devastating players on the Seven’s circuit. The winger became the first woman outside of New Zealand and Australia to be the top try-scorer in a season and was named in the World Rugby Dream Team in 2019.

The 5’6 winger’s accolades also includes Rugby Players Ireland’s Women’s 7s Player of the Year awards in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
