Claregalway’s Emma Slevin has qualified for the all-round final at the European Gymnastics Championships. In doing so, Slevin has made history becoming the first Irish female gymnast to ever reach the all-round final at the European Championships.
Slevin, who competes for Renmore Gymnastics Club in Galway, ranked 26th in the vault, 29th in the asymmetric bars, 39th in the beam and 51st in the floor exercise. Her overall score of 50.432 puts her 27th heading into tomorrow’s final.

In 2018, Slevin became the first Irish gymnast to qualify for Youth Olympic Games, where she subsequently qualified for three apparatus and all-around finals. She finished fifth in the balance beam.
Currently, Team Ireland are competing in Switzerland at the 2021 European Championships, in what is the final chance to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
