The dates for the resumption of the Women’s Six Nations have been confirmed.
In March, the outbreak of Covid-19 saw the widespread postponement of several sporting events across the globe. The Women’s Six Nations was suspended with six matches to be completed.
The resumption of the competition will see Scotland face France and Ireland take on Italy on 24 October. In March, Scotland’s match against was postponed after a member of the Scotland team tested positive for the virus.
The next round of fixtures will see Wales take on Scotland, Italy host England and France face-off against Ireland.
The Girls in Green have played three games to date, winning their opening two games before being defeated by leaders England.
In the opening fixture, Ireland held off a relentless Scotland side, in a tense and pulsating match at Donnybrook to secure a vital 18-14 victory. They followed this up with a bonus-point victory over Wales before losing 27-0 to England in Doncaster.

England currently sitting at the top of the pile, ahead of both France and Ireland with 19 points. France follow suit with 11 points while Ireland are third with 9 points.
The Six Nations have said it has prioritised “the health and safety of players, associated staff and supporters” in rescheduling the matches.
“We remain in close contact with all relevant authorities across the respective jurisdictions to ensure these matches take place in a safe environment and we will announce further details of health and safety protocols and guidance on spectator attendance in due course,” it added.
