IRFU: Give It A Try!

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) have announced the 38 clubs across the country which will participate in hosting the ‘Give It A Try’ program.

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) have announced the 38 clubs across the country which will participate in hosting the ‘Give It A Try’ program this summer. ‘Give It A Try’ is an initiative set up by the IRFU to introduce more young girls between the ages of 10-14 to the game of rugby and encourage more participation throughout.

Between the months of June and July, for eight weeks, the selected clubs will be hosting weekly sessions for the girls aged 10-14. The sessions will be coached by experts teaching the girls the basics of the game, in a fun and welcoming environment. There will also be mini blitzes for the girls to enjoy, where they will test their skills against other girls from around the country!
Girls of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to head down! The program does not require any pre-registration, just show up on the day. The cost for the eight weeks is a once off €10 per girl and they will also receive a free IRFU Give It A Try t-shirt. Not only that, the girls will also be treated with a visit from some members of the Irish Ladies International Rugby Team!
Check out the list of clubs participating below and encourage someone you know to get involved and ‘Give It A Try!’
